Tagant Plateau
The Tagant Plateau lies in eastern Mauritania, forming a stony part of the Sahara Desert. Some towns such as Tichit, Moudjéria and Rachid, lie at the foot of its slopes – cliffs in some places – while Tidjikdja and Kiffa lie on the Tagant itself.
