Tarleton Hoffman Bean
Tarleton Hoffman Bean (1846–1916) was an American ichthyologist, born at Bainbridge, Pennsylvania. After teaching in a high school, in 1874 he became associated with the United States Fish Commission, working on the Connecticut coast.
