USS Black Hawk (1848)
The USS Black Hawk was a dual stack side-wheel river steamer built in 1848 at New Albany, Indiana and purchased by the United States Navy at Cairo, Illinois. On November 24, 1862 it was named as the USS New Uncle Sam and commissioned on December 6, 1862.
