Uridine diphosphoglucose (UDPG) is a sugar nucleotide that is an important intermediate chemical in animal metabolism. It is a building block in the forming of polysaccharides such as galactose and glucuronic acid as well as sucrose lipopolysaccharides, and glycosphingolipids.
