Universal Newsreel
Universal Newsreel (sometimes known as Universal-International Newsreel or just U-I Newsreel) was a series of 7-10 minute newsfilms that were released twice-a-week between 1929 and 1967. Just about every one of them were filmed in black-and-white, and in recent years, have appeared on cable television's History Channel as part of the TV series Year-By-Year, which has also aired on History Channel International more recently.
