United States presidential election, 2004, in North Carolina



North Carolina was the homestate of John Edwards, Democratic nominee for vice-president, who was then representing the state in the United States Senate. However, this was not enough for Democrats to break Republican success in this state since the 1976 presidential election of Jimmy Carter.
