Universities of Applied Sciences
A University of Applied Sciences (UAS) is a type of higher education institution particular to German-speaking Europe. Universities of Applied Sciences are focused on the transferability of professional skills, but the commitment to academic learning and research puts them on a par with the traditional universities with regard to the educational tier on which they belong.
