Union Territory of Goa, Daman, and Diu
Union Territory of Goa, Daman, and Diu was the name given to the region on the west coast of India, after the end of Portuguese rule there in 1961. This Union Territory had its administration overlooked by New Delhi (as with other "union territories" in India), and comprised the 3700-square kilometre region of Goa, and the overland territories of Daman and Diu.
