Ukrainian-German collaboration during World War II
During World War II Ukraine was a battleground. Whilst the contribution of Ukrainians to the victory over Nazism is well documented nonetheless during the military occupation of Ukriane by Nazi Germany, some chose to collaborate with the Nazis for various reasons, including the hopes for an autonomy.
