Unchained Melody
"Unchained Melody" is one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, by some counts having spawned over 500 versions.The lyrics, which describe a prisoner's anguished longing for his wife, were written by William Stirrat (also known as Hy Zaret]) in [[1936 while at a summer camp, in an attempt to woo a young girl.
