United Kingdom European Constitution referendum
On April 20, 2004, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Tony Blair, announced in the House of Commons that the United Kingdom would hold a referendum on its ratification of the proposed Treaty establishing a constitution for Europe when it was agreed by the European Council.
