Ultra-royalist
The term Ultra-Royalists or simply Ultras refers to a reactionary faction which sat in the French parliament from 1815 to 1830 under the Bourbon Restoration. Legitimists, one of the main right-wing family identified by René Rémond's classic opus Les Droites en France, designed the Ultras after the 1830 July Revolution, which overthrew the Bourbon dynasty by the more liberal, Orleanist king Louis-Philippe.
