Universal pragmatics
Universal pragmatics, more recently placed under the heading of formal pragmatics, is the philosophical study of the necessary conditions for reaching an understanding through communication. The philosopher JĂĽrgen Habermas coined the term in his essay "What is Universal Pragmatics?
