University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, founded in 1843 as a school of medicine, is regarded as one of the best medical faculties in the world. More than 5,000 faculty members engage in a combination of research, teaching, administration, and clinical practice across the University of Toronto Campus, the faculty's nine fully-affiliated teaching hospitals (at 11 sites), the city of Toronto's department of public health, and a large number of community affiliated hospitals and organizations.
