University of Macau
The University of Macau , formerly known as the University of East Asia (Portuguese: Universidade de Ăsia de Leste, Traditional Chinese: 東亞大ĺ¸), was established in 1981, as the first university in Macau. The university's campus on Taipa Island has expanded dramatically in recent years as a result of the region's rapid economic development and Macau's 1999 return to China.
