Umar



`Umar ibn al-Khattāb (in Arabic, عمر بن الخطاب) (c. 584 – November 7, 644), sometimes referred by Sunni Muslims as `Umar al-Farūq (Umar the Distinguisher (between Truth and Falsehood)), also known in English as Omar or Umar, was from the Banu Adi clan of the Quraysh tribe.
