The UĂ NĂ©ill (Irish for "descendants of Niall" UĂ pronounced 'Ee': ) were Irish and Scottish dynasties who claimed descent from Niall Noigiallach (Niall of the Nine Hostages), a semi-historical High King of Ireland who died about 405.
