Uri Zvi Greenberg



Uri Zvi Greenberg (1896-1981), the son of a distinguished Hasidic family was raised in Lvov (now in Ukraine) and received a traditional religious education. Before he was twenty, his first poems, written in Yiddish and Hebrew, were published in contemporary periodicals.
