Ugaunians



The Ugaunians (Estonian: ugalased) is one of the Finnic tribes that were called Chudes in Old East Slavic language and that later formed the Estonian nation. They lived in the province of Ugaunia (also Ugania, Ungannia) in what is now Tartu, Põlva, Võru and Valga counties of Estonia.
