University of the Ryukyus
University of the RyĹ«kyĹ«s (ç‰ç大ĺ¦, RyĹ«kyĹ« Daigaku) was, until 2004, a state-run university located in the town of Nishihara on Okinawa Honto in Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. According to the Japanese government's recent chages to the national university system, however, this university has been reclassified as a 'national university corporation,' as have most such institutions throughout the country.
