Union school district
A union school district or union high school district in California (and possibly other) state law is a school district that has been formed by the consolidation of several smaller elementary school or high school districts for reasons of economy, efficiency, or enrollment. Union school districts are distinct from unified school districts in that union districts do not have both primary and secondary components.
