United States patent law



United States patent law was established "to promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries;"as provided in the United States Constitution]. Congress implemented these protection as a [[First to file and first to invent|first-to-invent patent legal framework.
