Uad-1
The UAD-1 is a PCI card with an onboard DSP proccessor sold by Universal Audio, designed to allow audio plug-ins to be used without using the host computers CPU to process effects. This enables to user to utilize accurate, but proccessor intensive, reverbs, eq's, compressors, limiters, and the like in real time.
