United Tajik Opposition
The United Tajik Opposition (UTO) was an alliance of democratic, liberal and Islamist forces in the Tajik Civil War of 1992 to 1997, united against the Moscow backed government of Emomali Rahmonov. The Islamist component of the alliance is now united with the former Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan as the Islamic Movement of Central Asia.
