USS Endicott (DD-495)
USS Endicott (DD-495), a Gleaves-class destroyer, was the only ship of the United States Navy to be named for Samuel Endicott, who served as a quarter gunner on board Enterprise in the Barbary Wars. He volunteered to participate in the expedition under Lieutenant Stephen Decatur, Jr.
