Victor Kolyvagin
Victor Kolyvagin () is an American mathematician. He wrote a series of papers on Euler systems, which Andrew Wiles studied and used in his proof of the statement, "semistable elliptic curves are modular, leading to breakthroughs on the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture, and Iwasawa's conjecture for cyclotomic fields.
