VĂtÄ›zslava Kaprálová was born on January 24, 1915 in Brno, died June 16, 1940 in Montpellier was a Czech composer and conductor, often cited as the greatest Czech female composer of the 20th century despite her short life. Her output consist of 25 works given opus numbers, as well as a number of other compositions.
