Vasyl Karazin



Vasyl Nazarovych Karazin (, ; January 30, 1773 – November 4, 1842) was a Ukrainian Enlightenment intellectual, inventor, and scientific publisher in Imperial Russia. He is the founder of Kharkiv University, which now bears his name.
