Ευάγγελος Οδυσσέας Παπαθανασίου (Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou) IPA: ] is a world-renowned Greek new age and electronic composer and musician, under the artist name Vangelis Papathanassiou (Βαγγέλης Παπαθανασίου) or just Vangelis (Βαγγέλης) [IPA: or ]. He is best known for his Academy Award winning score for the film Chariots of Fire, and scores for the films Blade Runner and 1492: Conquest of Paradise.
