Visfatin
Nampt, PBEF, and visfatin refer to an identical protein, as judged by its amino acid sequence, with multiple biological functions. Nampt/PBEF/visfatin is a nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (Nampt) enzyme that catalyzes first step in the biosynthesis of NAD from nicotinamide.
