Volsung
In Norse mythology, VÇ«lsung was murdered by the Geatish king Siggeir and avenged by one of his sons, Sigmund. VÇ«lsung was the common ancestor of the ill-fortuned clan of the VÇ«lsungs, including the greatest of Norse heroes, Sigurd.
