Vitré, Ille-et-Vilaine
Vitré (Breton: Gwitreg; Gallo: Vitræ) is a French town and commune in the département of Ille-et-Vilaine, in Brittany. Vitré, a former sub-prefecture until 1926, is the chief town of a canton of around 18,000 inhabitants (2006).
