Valerian Pidmohylny
Valerian Pidmohylny (Валеріан Підмогильний February 2, 1901 - 1937) was an important Ukrainian novelist, most famous for the realist novel Misto. Like a number of Ukrainian writers, he flourished in 1920's Ukraine, but was finally constrained and eventually arrested by Soviet authorities.
