Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus
Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococcus (VRE) is a group of bacterial species of the genus Enterococcus which are resistant to the antibiotic Vancomycin. Enterococci are enteric, and can be found in the digestive and urinary tracts of some humans.
