Variable geometry turbocharger
The Variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) exists in several forms, usually designed to allow the effective A/R ratio of the turbo to be altered as the conditions change. This is done as the optimum A/R at low engine speeds is very different to the optimum at high engine speeds.
