Western Catalan

Western Catalan is a set of Catalan language dialects spoken in western Catalonia, La Franja, part of Andorra and Valencian Country. Their most noticeable characteristic is that unstressed [a], [e] or [o] phonemes are not changed to others such as [É™] or [u], as is common in Eastern dialects.
