Western equine encephalitis virus



Western equine encephalitis (WEE) is a relatively uncommon viral infection caused by the WEE virus, an Alphavirus of the family Togaviridae. WEE virus is an arbovirus (arthropod-borne virus) transmitted by mosquitoes of the genera Culex and Culiseta.
