Welsh nationalism
Welsh nationalism is a popular political and cultural movement that emerged during the nineteenth-century. It generally seeks independence for Wales outside of the United Kingdom, an aspiration supported by around 1 in 5 of the population of Wales,and is further defined by a desire to protect and enhance the cultural distinctiveness of Wales.
