We Belong Together
"We Belong Together" is a pop–R&B song recorded by Mariah Carey for her ninth studio album The Emancipation of Mimi (2005); and went on to become one of the biggest number one singles on the American music charts - staying at number one for fourteen non-consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. The ballad was written and produced by Carey, Jermaine Dupri, Manuel Seal, and Johnta Austin and was inspired by 1980s R&B and soul.
