Whipple Museum of the History of Science
The Whipple Museum of the History of Science, founded in 1944, is the science museum of the University of Cambridge, located in Free School Lane. The museum holds a world-class nationally "designated collection" of scientific instruments, models, photographs, and artifacts relating to scientific exploration and discovery, including instruments used at the University as far back as the 16th century.
