Xanthus (historian)
Xanthus of Lydia (also spelled Xanthos) was a native Lydian historian and logographer who, during the mid-fifth century BC, wrote works on the history of Lydia known as Lydiaka. It is assumed that his seat was at Sardis, the capital.
