Yanks is a 1979 John Schlesinger film, set in World War II in the village of Dobcross, in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, on the outskirts of Greater Manchester, England. Starring Richard Gere, Vanessa Redgrave and Lisa Eichhorn.
