Yisrael Mendel Kaplan
Rabbi Yisrael Mendel Kaplan (1913 – April 4, 1985) was known as Reb Mendel by his thousands of students. He served as a teacher in the Hebrew Theological College in Chicago to many of men who were to become the leaders of Orthodox American Jewry, then in the Philadelphia Yeshiva for another 20 years.
