Yugoslavian Front (WWII)

The Yugoslavian Front of World War II, also known as the Yugoslav People's Liberation War (Serbo-Croat: Narodnooslobodilački rat, Народноослободилачки рат) in SFR Yugoslavia, was fought from 1941 to 1945 between the Yugoslav Partisans and the forces of the Axis Powers in World War II. The partisans won this mainly guerrilla struggle, and it birthed the communist leadership of Tito over Yugoslavia.
