Father Yusuf Akbulut (from Hah, Tur-â€Abdin originally) is an Assyrian priest who was arrested by Turkish authorities after stating in an interview that he believed Armenians, Assyrians, and Greeks were subjected to a genocide by Turkey. In October of 2000, he was approached by reporters from the Turkish newspaper HĂĽrriyet and questioned about his opinion regarding the Armenian Genocide, to which he responded that not only Armenians but Assyrians were also massacred.
