Y-chromosomal Aaron
Y-chromosomal Aaron is the name given to the hypothesised ancestor of the patrilineal Jewish priestly caste known as Kohanim (singular "Kohen", "Cohen", or Kohane). In the Hebrew Bible this ancestor is identified as Aaron, the brother of Moses.
