Yehuda Ashlag



Yehuda Ashlag (1885—1954) or Rabbi Yehuda Leib Ha-Levi Ashlag רַבּי יְהוּדָה לֵיבּ הַלֵּוִי אַשְׁלַג is also known as Baal Ha-Sulam בַּעַל הַסּוּלָם, meaning "Master of the Ladder" for his Sulam Commentary on The Zohar. He was an Orthodox rabbi born in Warsaw, Poland, to a family of scholars connected to the Hasidic courts of Pruskow and Belz.
