YIMBY
YIMBY is an acronym for Yes In My Back Yard (or in rare occasions WHY In My Backyard), in contrast and opposition to the NIMBY phenomenon. Informal YIMBY coalitions exist in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and elsewhere to provide community support for affordable housing or market-rate property development over the objections of NIMBY, BANANA and bureaucratic opponents.
