Zygocactus Montanavirus X



Zygocactus Montana X, is a little understood virus species which was first reported in the ‘thanksgiving cactus’ (Zygocactus truncates) from Missoula, Montana, USA (Chessin and Giri, 1975). Transmission takes place through mechanical inoculation, once infected the cacti develops symptoms which can include (varying with the host infected) reddening of the pads, mosaics, mottles, ringspots or necrosis.
