Zhu De
ZhĹ« DĂ© (, Wade-Giles: Chu Teh, zi: YĂąjiÄ“ 玉é¶) (December 1, 1886 – July 6, 1976) was a Chinese Communist military leader and statesman. He is regarded as the founder of the Chinese Red Army (the forerunner of the People's Liberation Army) and the tactician who engineered the revolution from which emerged the People's Republic of China.
